Frames that have suffered minor to major damage can often be repaired and/or restored. This antique wood and plaster frame from the 1800's (pictured) was completely broken at all 4 corners after being shipped from overseas. Our client thought about replacing the frame believing that it could not be salvaged. Considering that it was a family heirloom, we felt it was worth attempting to repair. Needless to say, after we were done our client left a very happy customer!

Franklin Picture Framing specializes in framing anything from the ordinary to the extraordinary! Whether you have a photo, print, painting, cherished keepsake, or priceless heirloom, we can frame it for you.
Our showroom has an extensive collection of over 2,500 frames, mats, and glass samples from which to choose. Daily we hear the word, "WOW" when guests walk through our showroom doors.
We are also one of the few frame shops in the area that owns a CMC, computerized mat cutter. This machine allows us to reach levels of creativity and precision that simply cannot be achieved any other way.

Almost any kind of damage to photos can be either completely eliminated or significantly reduced with today's computer technologies. Even severe damage like torn photos can be seamlessly repaired.
Fading, discoloration, stains, creasing, water marks and even missing pieces can often be restored to there original glory.

Do you have digital images on your phone, camera or other digital devices that need to be printed? Our Epson 9900 is just the printer for the job. It produces images up to 44" wide and of any length. It can print on either paper or canvas with materials and inks that are designed to last over 100 years! We can make prints even if you do not need them framed or stretched. However, if you do need framing or stretching, then we are your one-stop-shop.
We also use this machine to print backgrounds
and custom mats for much of our unique work. This ability is one of the many design features that sets our shop apart from nearly all other shops both near and far.

Franklin Picture Framing, located at 90 Prentiss View Dr., Franklin, NC is a 2000 square foot home-based business. We are 3 miles south of Franklin just 1/2 mile off of 441 (Georgia Road). Nearby landmarks are the Smoky Mountain Visitor Center, City Electric, and the Subway Restaurant. Co-owners, Jeff Norman, CPF, and Scott Watkins take pride in offering the highest levels of creativity and professionalism in every piece produced in their shop.
Jeff has over 22 years of experience and holds the distinguished recognition of being one of the very few Certified Picture Framers (CPF) in the mountains of WNC as awarded by the international Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA). He is current on all the latest preservation materials and techniques in the industry. It is worthy to note that Jeff has even framed items that have gone to the moon and back on both the Apollo and Space Shuttle missions. Only the best certified picture framers and frame shops would ever be entrusted with such rare and historic objects!

Scott Watkins
Scott manages the overall operations of the shop, making sure that everything runs smoothly. In his free time, he is an avid photographer. Many of his local photos are displayed and sold throughout Franklin as well as through the frame shop.
VRBO, (Vacation Rentals By Owner) has even used some of his real estate photos in their national television advertising campaigns.
